The social policy grows from the company's philosophy to share equitably with the employees and the local communities the benefits derived from a well run and profitable organization. The company therefore plays an important economic role in those parts of the country where it has operations. In the rural areas the company's quarrying activities are often the main economic activity and so one of the few sources of cash income in the area.
ARM has over the years participated in various social projects such as construction of:
- Dams,
- Health clinics,
- Animal dips,
- Educational workshops and conducting training programs,
- Churches and civic offices.
It has also made financial contributions to the school fees and medical treatment of the local residents and actively associated with various social groups operating in the country.
Social welfare is very close to the company's management and an integral part of ARM's corporate culture.
